Our take
The phone that introduced the Dynamic Island and the always-on display. Still a capable camera phone, but Lightning now feels dated.
For phones we look past launch-week impressions: battery health after a year of daily charging, how the camera handles indoor and low-light shots, and whether the software keeps the phone feeling quick.
Pros
- Dynamic Island debut
- 48MP main camera
- Always-on display
Cons
- Lightning port
- Older units often need a battery
