Our take
Still the friendliest desktop computer: one cable, cheerful colors and a sharp 4.5K screen. The new camera and 16GB base memory help a lot.
Every Mac we review becomes someone’s main computer for at least a month. We pay most attention to sustained performance, fan noise, battery life on real workdays and how far the base memory goes.
Pros
- Beautiful 4.5K display
- 16GB base memory
- Center Stage camera
